About Us
Meet Our Farmers!
Ord Cox
Ord Cox farmed for more than 75 years, and he was the heart of this farm. His family farmed from El Paso to Yuma County, and Ord grew all of it — dates, citrus, alfalfa, peanuts. Even after he semi-retired, he kept teaching his son Ty everything he knew. Ord passed away in October 2024. He is the man who started it all, and we still farm the way he taught us.
Ty Cox
Ty Cox has been farming for more than thirty years, and he runs the farm today. He grew up following his father, Ord, through the orchard, learning how to take care of date trees. He farmed other crops through his adult life before taking over the family business. Ty likes that date farming changes every year and that no two harvests are the same. Most of what he works on now is growing better fruit.
Jake Cox
Jake is Ty’s son and Ord’s grandson. He worked construction in Arizona, Texas, and California before coming home to farm. He manages our organic certification and our food safety program.
